Thinking about getting the Xbox Kinect…?

My brother and I have wanted the Kinect since we saw the Project Natal video even before it was released. I would like to know the following:
1) Can you play game samples?
2) Can you play it without buying a game?
3) Is it worth it…?
4) Should I get this or the Playstation Move?
