How to update an original Xbox game to the Xbox 360?

My son got an original xbox game for christmas and he has a 360 and I have no idea what to do. I went to the website but I still don’t understand. Please help!?
he has the whitebox. And how do I connect to live. Is it free? I got on the site the other day and couldn’t understand anything. I didn’t even know how to hook the xbox up to the internet.

You must have the internet connected to your xbox 360.

1. Take original xbox game
2. put it in the 360
3. Turn on
4. Live will update your system if the game is supported. Not all xbox 1 games are compatible with the 360 yet.
5. System will restart itself and the game will start as usual.
